PR Activation is a marketing product that enables brands

Engage top-of-the-funnel prospects, and 'imprint' them with shareable experiences.

Develop and empower an ambassador program.

Utilize ambassadors to promote the brand in strategic ways.

Define a strategic communication protocol for prospects and ambassadors to follow that controls the brand messaging.

Utilize viral social tactics to boost brand awareness and expand your followers.

Client review

PR Activation begins with a client review to determine the client's objectives, target audience, targeting strategy, and budget.

Objectives

Defining client objectives is an essential step in the process and PR strategy.

The review will unlock new strategies. These new strategies will be discussed with the client for feedback.

Audiences

A strategic audience development plan is developed after client review. A review will include:

  • Prospect attributes
  • Ambassador attributes
  • The current prospect ad targeting, if applicable
  • Geographic target of the prospect
  • CRM review

The review will unlock new strategies. These new strategies will be discussed with the client for feedback.

How do we engage prospects?

Prospects are introduced to you using engaging and brand-appropriate communications.

Communications

Channels may include:

New prospects

  • Direct mail
  • Social media

Ambassador initiated

  • In-person
  • Direct mail
  • Social media
  • Sponsored event development

Viral marketing initiated

  • New prospects sharing your brand in their social circles
  • Social media sharing
  • Sharing of viral contest

Strategy

The strategy differs from traditional branded promotional merchandise or ambassador programs, which focus on promoting brand signage and social sharing.

A strategic UX workflow is developed for new prospects from initial contact to receipt of your branded item. UX is also designed for ambassadors and viral marketing.

This 360-degree campaign strategy ensures measurement and optimization occur at each step.

Big Clic will track and create benchmarks for the following. Each will be compared against current client benchmarks if available.

  • Cost / New Lead (CPL)
  • Conversion rate from lead to sale
  • Cost / Acquisition (CPA)
  • Campaign ROI

Clients will understand:

  • The campaign increased the conversion rate of leads to sales.
  • The cost to generate the sale
  • Clients can compare their current conversion rate and cost/sale to the campaign to understand how they are saving money and increasing sales.

How do we develop and empower ambassadors?

Development

Big Clic unlocks potential targets who can act as ambassadors for your brand.

Examples

B2C: post-secondary school clients can activate current students, high school students, student council members, alumni, etc.

B2B: heavy equipment OEM clients can activate dealers and buyers

Empowerment

Ambassadors only get as excited about your brand as you are.

Big Clic delivers products that your ambassadors can get excited about and share with your target audience.

Item, packaging design - 'want'

The strategy differs from traditional branded promotional merchandise or ambassador programs, which focus on promoting brand signage and social sharing.

The key is shareable, wearable, usable items that the target audience wants. This 'want' supports your brand. The ‘want’ also supports others ‘wanting’ it. Your target audience now begins to work for you to promote your brand.

Big Clic develops the 'want' item and designs the 'want' item packaging to ensure your objectives are met.

Two types of 'want' items are developed:

Items the user shares with their network based on the whole campaign experience

More viral items that can stand on their own and accelerate sharing

Again, packaging will appear centre stage in the strategy. Your target audience will receive your brand communication in a way that makes them feel positively about it. They will feel important.

Campaign development

The items are tied to the client's unique selling proposition (USP), and a campaign is developed.

Big Clic will design the campaign strategy to ensure the objectives are met. Campaign development includes:

  • Campaign landing page
  • Ad design
  • Campaign tracking, reporting
  • Form design and CRM posting
  • Item, package design
  • Fulfillment

Viral campaign development:

Once the original user receives their package, a secondary campaign is initiated to promote sharing, which will unlock the social circle of the user. The social circle will be prequalified as a potential customer based on the campaign strategy.

The viral campaign is contest-based and encourages users to share. An example may be a college offering a scholarship, an e-bike, or a MacBook Pro contest entry for sharing. The chances of winning will be based on the amount of sharing.

Having the original user unlock their network to generate new leads does the following:

  • Lowers your CPL
  • Increases your conversion rate from leads to sales
  • Lowers your cost per sale

Other ways the prospects and ambassadors promote the brand.

Your brand voice is developed into a product that can be ‘wanted’ by the target audience.

The strategy surrounding the item and how it will resonate with those in the target audience's social circle is developed.

The target audience will promote the item to its social circle based on the entirety of the experience:

  • How they were initially made aware of your brand
  • Fun communication UX
  • Item packaging
  • Final item

New prospects will want to talk about their experience with your brand.

New prospects will share your brand with their social circle and create new prospects.

Ambassadors will receive products that are easily shareable.

Your brand communication will be managed within the campaign. From how you want the item to be shared, what you want the key messages to be, etc.

A simple ‘Dos and Don’ts’ communication toolkit will be established for ambassadors to use when sharing your product with prospects.

How are viral social tactics used?

Viral sharing tactics will be incorporated into your campaign to increase likes and promote sharing.

Budgets

The PR Activation program is developed with flexibility in mind. Clients can test one segment of their sales funnel at a time.

Top-of-the-funnel prospects (those in the awareness and interest levels) can receive lower-cost engagement items. Those at the bottom of the funnel (decision, action levels) can receive higher-cost engagement items.

All audience segments can use the same campaign. Item packaging adjustments may be required if item sizes change.

Tiered pricing packages are available. Pricing is developed per user*:

Potential products might include:

  • Tier 1 - $5
  • Tier 2 - $10
  • Tier 3 - $30
  • Tier 4 - $50

Product tiers can be assigned to specific levels of a sales funnel.

*Campaign development costs are extra

Does a PR Activation campaign make sense for your team?

Tracking and measuring conversions enable your team to determine whether PR activation is worthwhile.

Big Clic will track the following for your audiences based on site visits and physical location:

  1. Email, phone clicks
  2. Form submissions
  3. Store check-outs - if applicable
  4. Mobile device ID entries to your physical location (s).

Additionally

  1. Campaign shares
  2. Social media shares

Reporting

Reporting will include a cost-per-lead (CPL) metric that can serve as a benchmark for future reference.

Additionally

Reporting can also include a cost per acquisition (CPA) or a cost per customer. This is done by tracking the leads back to those who become customers.

This cost-per-customer metric can be used as a benchmark to measure future campaigns against.

If the client has an existing cost-per-customer metric, the campaigns can also be evaluated by comparing them against this metric.

AI Search

AI search is an important marketing channel. PR Activation delivers added benefit by incorporating strategies to develop user content as part of the overall strategy. The AI search engines then index this content.
